Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Legal Associate to join our In House Legal team.
This is a diverse and varied role which encompasses supporting the In House Legal Counsel function in all aspects of advising on company law, trust law, regulatory compliance, company secretarial duties and relevant international developments.
The successful candidate will need to assist with various internal legal projects, as well as drafting and reviewing documents to facilitate client transactions. The opportunity also exists to become involved in the management of any client litigation. The Junior Legal Associate will report to the Senior Legal Manager but will also work closely with the In House Legal Counsel.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
- Have some experience of working in a legal role or financial services business (including holiday/work experience) would be preferred
- Be committed to further development and training
- Possess an understanding of the Guernsey/offshore legal and regulatory environment
- Strong attention to detail
