Tax Supervisor

We have a great opportunity for a Tax Supervisor to join our Guernsey or London-based tax team.

Our small in-house team in London and Guernsey acts as the Group's centre of excellence, providing tax services, including the completion of UK corporation tax returns to clients from our global offices.

You'll be responsible for a portfolio of fiduciary clients which will include the completion of income and corporate tax returns, and responding to tax queries.

Key responsibilities
  • Review UK and Guernsey tax returns for trusts and companies prepared by tax administrators, including UK income & corporation tax returns, Capital Gains tax returns, ATED returns and Guernsey Income Tax returns

  • Check tax reviews of trust and company accounts prepared by tax administrators

  • Preparation of UK Inheritance tax returns

  • Preparation of correspondence with settlors and beneficiaries regarding their tax reporting requirements

  • Liaison with other departments within the Group, and respond to tax queries from trust administrators

  • Liaison with clients, as required

  • Preparation of taxation fee quotes and tax billing

  • Provide training for junior members of staff

Minimum experience / education required
  • Educated to a minimum of A level standard, or equivalent

  • Minimum of four years' relevant experience

  • Relevant qualification such as ATT or CTA

Required skills
  • Good communication skills

  • Good numeracy and computer skills

  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude together with the ability to work to deadlines

  • Good team player

Guernsey applicants should possess a valid Employment Permit or Certificate issued by the States of Guernsey Population Management Office.
