Educated in Guernsey Blane began his career in 2004 with the States of Guernsey Income Tax Authority where he worked as a Collections Officer.
In 2007 he joined Praxis as a trust administrator responsible for a diverse portfolio of complex trust and company structures primarily focused on real estate for high net worth individuals.
Blane is a Relationship Principle responsible for a varied portfolio of clients and specialises in establishing and overseeing the administration of offshore fiduciary structures.
He qualified as a full member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2012 and gained a degree with honours in Management with Trust and Estates from the University of Manchester in 2015. Blane is also a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. He was included in the 2019 2020 and 2021 Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35 list published by eprivateclient. The list was designed to identify recognise and promote the rising stars of the private client adviser community in the financial centres. He was shortlisted in Citywealth's Future Leaders Awards 2022.
Blane joined the board of PraxisIFM Trust Limited in Guernsey in November 2020.
In his spare time he is a keen sportsman and has represented Guernsey in several sports most notably cricket playing in World and European ICC Tournaments and representing Europe's Academy in Singapore and Mumbai.
