If you are an experienced and detail-oriented professional seeking a vital governance and support role, we invite you to join our dynamic team, managing company secretarial functions for a diverse portfolio of internal entities, including our trust operating boards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will:
- Maintain accurate statutory records and generate registers for internal entities
- Handle submissions with the Guernsey Registry and manage permanent files and minute books
- Coordinate quarterly board meetings, prepare agendas, compile board packs, attend meetings and record action points
- Act as secretary for board committees, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and recording actions
- Organise ad-hoc formal and informal meetings, attend, take minutes/notes and record action points.
- Assist with the provision of documents for the annual audit process
- Manage the annual GFSC Corporate Governance Self-Assessment and Board Evaluation processes
Education and Experience:
- STEP, ICSA, or equivalent professional qualification related to corporate governance (desirable)
- Minimum of five years' company secretarial industry experience, including minute taking
Additional Skills:
- Understanding of Guernsey Company Law and regulatory environment
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work with initiative and minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple annual work streams and meet frequent deadlines
- Strong understanding of corporate governance
- Confidence to advise and support the Board with governance responsibilities
