Junior Corporate Lawyer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Corporate Lawyer to join our Netherlands office.

As a Junior Corporate Lawyer within our Amsterdam office you will assist the Corporate Lawyer and be a point of contact for all legal issues affecting your client portfolio and your responsibilities will be as diverse as the international clients you will be working with.

Your main responsibilities will be to take ownership of the daily legal management and to ensure all client
records are compliant with regulatory standards. You will be in close contact with your Business Unit Director and accounting colleagues, and you will work on the onboarding of new clients within your portfolio.

Key responsibilities
  • Act as a point of contact for your client portfolio, other relevant parties and advisors

  • Provide assistance to the Business Unit Director in drafting, reviewing and revising all types of
    agreements and legal documentation required in a client's portfolio while ensuring risk mitigation from
    a director’s point of view

  • Organise and attend client, and board meetings

  • Keep the client company in good legal standing and ensuring that proper legal records are
    maintained and prepared in relation to all client companies/structures

  • Set up and manage corporate and private legal structures and providing legal assistance to the
    Business Unit Director in onboarding new clients

  • Prepare minutes, power of attorneys and other legal documents

  • Monitor transactions in accordance with applicable legislation

  • Ensure high quality and timely completion of client files

  • Consult and correspond in a professional manner on behalf of client companies

  • Detailed client data gathering (digitalising files, complete agreements)

Minimum experience / education required
  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Dutch law (a focus on contract, corporate tax or notarial law is
    an advantage)

  • Knowledge of Dutch laws and regulations pertaining to financial services

  • High attention to detail

  • Structured, accurate, flexible, hands-on and able to deliver your best work when facing a tight deadline

  • Ability to work ad hoc and shift between many different tasks per day if needed

  • You have strong analytical skills, mature judgement and think in solutions

  • Positive personality with a natural drive for results and willing to work in a small business environment
    with potential to grow rapidly

  • Good communication skills coupled with the ability to liaise with people internationally and a fluent
    proficiency of the English and good understanding of the Dutch language
