Praxis adds depth to yacht accounting team to meet evolving expectations
Praxis has further strengthened its yacht services team with the appointment of two specialist accountants, reflecting the evolving needs of superyacht owners who are seeking greater oversight and control of their financial affairs.
Lloyd Watters joins as Yacht Accountant, bringing experience from other leading yacht management firms. His background includes managing budgets and cash flow for large-scale refit projects, including a €24m 72-metre superyacht. At Praxis, Lloyd oversees accounting procedures across the Group’s managed fleet, ensuring each vessel’s financial affairs are handled accurately and efficiently.
Joining him is Wil Temple-Hart (Assistant Accountant), who brings a strong accounts background from the IT sector. Wil supports the yacht team’s day-to-day financial operations and works closely with captains to maintain effective relationships and deliver transparent and timely reporting to owners.
The team is led by Giles Sedgman, Head of Yacht Management, who has many years of onboard experience. He said “We’re seeing a fundamental shift in the mindset of yacht owners and charter operators, who are becoming more aware of the benefits of onshore accounting support, and ensuring the right financial controls are in place.
“Our yacht accounts team provide that service - planning, budgeting, forecasting and tracking the vessel’s finances effectively, enabling the owner to enjoy their time on board. Lloyd and Wil bring excellent expertise to our growing team and will help us continue delivering the high standards of transparency and accountability that our clients expect.”
Praxis offers comprehensive onshore support services tailored to both charter yachts and privately owned vessels, working with private clients, family offices and industry professionals. With over 50 years’ experience, the yacht team provides end-to-end support covering ownership structuring, operational management, crew administration and financial management.
