Andrea is a seasoned operations director at Praxis, specialising in pensions, compliance and client relations.
History
Andrea joined Praxis in 2012 to assist with the establishment and development of the Group's pensions business in Malta. He has since been responsible for overseeing Malta's pensions operations and was appointed to the Board as Operations Director in June 2018.
Before joining Praxis, Andrea spent six years working for one of Malta's leading insurance companies and was involved in setting up its medical insurance department. During this time, he obtained an advanced diploma in insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute and qualified as a Chartered Insurer.
Andrea also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Malta.
Roles and responsibilities
Andrea excels in managing and expanding client services teams, implementing impactful change, and formulating effective strategies and operating models. With extensive experience in driving operational change and in forging strong client relationships, Andrea is committed to enhancing client experience and streamlining processes. He is also actively involved in ensuring that software and technology developments align with business objectives.
In addition to these responsibilities, Andrea plays a key role in compliance oversight, including serving as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and providing support to the risk management and internal audit functions.
