Career History

Jake has over ten years’ experience in the pensions and private wealth sectors, with expertise across QROPS, QNUPS and exempt schemes for internationally mobile expatriates. He has more recently focused on large corporate pension and gratuity schemes for employers worldwide, with particular experience in the Middle East, providing Shariah‑compliant solutions for both employers and individuals.

He has a strong interest in integrating technology into the member experience and has worked on projects to develop mobile and web applications, retirement modelling tools and employee training sessions to improve financial literacy. Jake has also supported the redesign of scheme literature to improve accessibility for non‑finance industries and individuals where English is a second language.

Having achieved his Level 5 STEP Diploma in Trust and Estate Practice, Jake also has a keen interest in tax planning and investments at different life stages.

About Me

“Having started my career as a nurse, I still support Guernsey’s small local hospice providing palliative care and bereavement support which earned me the Pride of Guernsey award. I also keep busy with my allotment, baking and I am currently training to be a fitness instructor for people with lifelong illnesses and disabilities.”
