Thalia brings extensive international experience in risk management, compliance and investigations, helping organisations identify, manage and mitigate complex risks across regulated and global business environments.
Role at Praxis
Thalia is an Associate Director in Praxis' Risk & Operations team, responsible for risk management across the business and serving on both the Guernsey and Jersey Risk Committees. She also oversees the firm's Policies & Procedures framework, ensuring consistency, regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness across jurisdictions.
Career History
Thalia previously held prescribed MLRO and MLCO roles and, prior to this, led the Client Onboarding team for International Wealth Management and Private Banking at a Swiss bank.
Earlier in her career, Thalia founded and managed corporate intelligence businesses serving financial institutions, governments and private sector organisations across EMEA for almost a decade. Her work focused on complex due diligence, investigations and risk advisory matters. She started her career with a London-based intelligence firm founded by Jules Kroll, conducting fraud, corruption and asset-tracing investigations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Thalia has lectured at various universities in the UK and France on the topic of risk and investigations and provides regular training to professionals in Guernsey.
Qualifications
Thalia has achieved a BA in European Studies from King's College London. She also holds an MA in International Affairs, specialising in International Security Policy, awarded jointly by Columbia University (USA) and Sciences Po Paris (France).
In addition, Thalia has achieved the Governance, Risk and Compliance International Diploma from the International Compliance Association (ICA), reflecting her expertise in risk management, governance and regulatory compliance.
