Praxis appoints leading private wealth figure Paul Hodgson as Chairman
Independent professional services firm Praxis has appointed Paul Hodgson as Chairman, as the Group implements its new strategy and sharpens its focus on key markets in the UK, Southeast Asia and the Middle East through its network of international offices.
A highly experienced practitioner in his own right, Paul has served on the Praxis Group Board since 1 January 2025 as an independent non-executive director. He brings more than 35 years’ experience in fiduciary services, administration and financial governance including over 25 years in senior executive roles with Butterfield Trust.
The appointment follows the conclusion of the Company’s recent AGM, at which the outgoing Chairman, Peter Gillson, confirmed his intention to step down while continuing to serve as a non-executive director until the end of the year.
Praxis Group CEO, Rob Fearis, said: “On behalf of the Board and everyone at Praxis, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Peter for his leadership and support through an important period for the Group. We are grateful that he will continue to contribute to the Board through to the end of 2025.
“At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Paul as Chairman. Paul is a highly respected figure in private wealth; his fiduciary pedigree, international perspective and steady boardroom judgement make him ideally placed to chair Praxis through the next phase of our growth.”
Paul Hodgson said: “It is an exciting time to be involved with a firm of Praxis’ pedigree - now in its sixth decade - as it positions itself for the next chapter. I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team to support the Group’s strategy and its clients across the globe.”
