Darren is Head of Accounting within the Group Finance Department, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance across Praxis entities.
Role at Praxis
Darren is responsible for supervising the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records for various Praxis subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that consitent and timely month and year-end processes are carried out.
He is the main point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit process of Praxis subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions and oversees the preparation of annual financial statements for all Praxis entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
Working closely with the Projects Team, he and the accounting team continuously seek to develop and improve financial systems to maximise efficiencies wherever possible.
Career History
Darren began his career as an auditor at a global accounting and audit firm, where he spent 13 years. He progressed from a trainee auditor role into a senior position within both the audit and accounting departments, giving him valuable insight from both sides of the audit process.
During his time at the firm, Darren achieved his CAT and ACCA qualifications.
In 2020, he joined Trireme Pension Services (Guernsey) Limited, a Praxis subsidiary, as an Accountant. After three years with Trireme, Darren took a short career break to travel before rejoining Praxis as part of the Accounting & Control Team within the Group Finance Department.
