Katja has been with the Group since 2007. She relocated to Hong Kong in 2008 and was appointed Managing Director in March 2022.
Katja's experience with us straddles both private client and corporate work. She has notable experience advising individuals, families and business with their cross-border structuring and diversified associated needs, including vehicles such as trusts and companies. She has also assisted in setting up charitable vehicles and achieving tax exemptions for them. She is best known for providing bespoke and tailored solutions on all aspects of estate and succession planning covering multiple jurisdictions as well as providing guidance on international reporting obligations.
Katja is a Professional Member of the International Compliance Association and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to joining the Group, Katja was a senior legal adviser to a public listed company in London. She was also a registered UK barrister between 2002 and 31 March 2024.
Katja speaks English, German and French. She currently sits on the board of an animal rescue charity in Hong Kong.
