Praxis expands pensions expertise in Guernsey with key senior appointments
Praxis has strengthened its pensions and employer solutions offering in Guernsey with the appointment of Bob Banfield as Senior Executive Director (SED).
Bob has more than 35 years of industry experience, including 26 at board level, spanning pensions, private wealth and fund administration. Well-known in the Guernsey market, he brings deep sector expertise and a strong track record in governance and regulatory compliance.
As Head of Praxis PES Guernsey PCC Limited and Trireme Pension Services (Guernsey) Limited, both trading as Praxis, Bob leads the Guernsey arm of the Group’s pensions and employer solutions.
Working closely with James Barber-Lomax, Group Head of Pensions & Employer Solutions, and colleagues in Malta and the UAE, Bob will help further align and develop Praxis’ pensions offering across its markets, drawing on the strengths of each location to deliver an efficient, high-quality service for clients and their advisers.
Bob commented: “Praxis’ reputation across private wealth and corporate services provides a strong platform for savings and retirement planning solutions. In a continually evolving legal and fiscal environment, I am excited by the opportunity to continue developing our services and products to meet the changing needs of our clients.”
Elsewhere in the team, Hayley Rose was promoted to Pensions Manager in January, having joined the Group in 2021. She has 15 years of sector experience and a background in the creative industry, where she developed a strong focus on problem solving and building client relationships. Hayley provides both strategic and operational support to the board and plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the team. Hayley also represents Praxis on the Guernsey Association of Pension Providers, marketing committee.
The team has been further strengthened following the recent appointment of Jake Williams, as Pensions Manager. Jake has 10 years’ experience in private pensions, including QROPS and QNUPS, as well as corporate pensions. At Praxis, he manages retirement plans for individual and corporate clients and brings a holistic approach to retirement planning, with a particular interest in tax and investment considerations at different life stages and improving access to pension information for people who either work outside financial services or who speak English as a second language.
Robert Fearis, Chief Executive Officer, said: “In an ever-changing fiscal landscape, combined with the way people are choosing to work more flexibly, the need for clear, responsive and well-structured retirement planning solutions has never been greater.
“Bob, Hayley and Jake each bring valuable experience and expertise to the team, further strengthening our ability to support clients and advisers across multiple jurisdictions.”
