Praxis private wealth specialist Alex Smedley shortlisted in eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list
Guernsey practitioner Alex Smedley has been named in the 2026 eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list, recognising his position as one of the sector’s emerging private client professionals.
The accolade recognises rising stars working across the private client advisory professions in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. It draws on PAM Insight’s experience and knowledge of individuals who are building strong reputations in the sector, with factors including professional trajectory, performance, feedback from senior leaders, business development success and contribution to positive organisational culture.
A Senior Trust Manager in the Guernsey private wealth division, Alex specialises in the oversight and administration of trust and fiduciary structures. He currently leads a team of administrators delivering services to a diverse client base, working closely with advisers and cross-border teams to ensure structures are efficiently managed, compliant and aligned with the client’s long-term objectives.
Alex said: "I'm very pleased to be included in the 2026 eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list. Since joining Praxis in 2019, I have benefited from strong training, development and mentoring support, which has helped me build my technical knowledge, progress professionally and take on greater responsibility within the team."
Ciaran O’Neill, Managing Director in Guernsey, said: “Alex's shortlisting is well-deserved recognition of his technical ability, client focus and contribution to the development of our Guernsey private wealth business. He brings a thoughtful and diligent approach to his work and is a strong example of the next generation of talent within the Group.”
The EPC Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list was launched as a development of the former Channel Islands NextGen Leaders list and recognises individuals who are progressing within the private client sector across the Crown Dependencies.
