Donna Shorto

With over 15 years’ private wealth experience, Donna is currently responsible for overseeing a diverse client portfolio spanning multiple asset classes and geographical locations. In addition, Donna heads up Business Development for the Guernsey office as well as overseeing the onboarding of new business to ensure it is in line with the risk appetite of the firm.

Donna was educated in Guernsey before studying law at Exeter University, obtaining an honours degree before returning to the island on completion of her studies in 2009.

She gained experience at an international trust company where she qualified as a full member of STEP in 2011. In 2015, Donna joined Praxis as trust manager, working with a team that administers a wide range of structures.

Relocating to the UK in 2017, she spent five years heading up the UK trust and corporate offering in London where she held the position of Managing Director and was responsible for business development. She returned to Praxis in Guernsey in January 2023.

Donna has also successfully completed the ILM Management course, is a full member of AAT and STEP, and sits on the STEP Guernsey Branch Committee.

Awarded the Citywealth Future Leaders Editor's Choice award 2019 Donna was one of the seven judges at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2020. She was named as a Mentor of the Year in the 2022 Citywealth Powerwomen awards.

With a keen interest in employee wellbeing Donna is one of our Mental Health First Aiders and a member of the Guernsey ESG team.
