Role overview

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in risk management? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Risk Manager, where you'll collaborate closely with Praxis Management to shape and implement our Risk Management Framework.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive change and innovation by managing risk processes and providing insightful analysis. Your work will not only ensure effective risk management but also provide assurance to key stakeholders on our commitment to mitigating risks across financial, environmental, social, and regulatory domains.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting in embedding a culture of appropriate and informed risk taking through communication and promotion of the Praxis Risk Management Framework;
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the Group’s Risk Management Framework, compassing: business risk assessments, risk register, controls matrix, key risk indicators and risk reporting;
  • Working with risk owners to document risk assessments against the firms risk appetite and identify and assess controls in place to reduce risk to an acceptable residual level;
  • Identifying, analysing and evaluating data to support risk assessments and the development of key risk indicators, including design and production of reports where required;
  • Ensuring maintenance of records to evidence risk management activity including maintaining the risk register and risk control matrix;
  • Monitoring and analysing ad hoc risk event reports as they arise across the to highlight emerging trends or risk concentrations;
  • Assisting the Board in the collation and production of risk reporting tailored to relevant stakeholders;
  • Other risk related functions as requested.

 

Minimum education and experience

  • Educated to degree level desirable or a holder of relevant professional qualifications
  • Experience of risk management frameworks, regulation, controls and assurance
  • Experience of risk management through at least five years professional experience working in a similar role
  • Experience of development of policies and procedures
